Joseph Frohlinger

 

His executive search & consulting practice focuses on assignments in digital, consumer services, advertising and media & professional services. Joe has conducted numerous assignments for general management positions as well as senior managers in charge of most functional areas.

He is often called upon to do senior level, high impact recruitment in industries challenged by major change. Accordingly, during his career to date, he has done major searches in the advertising and marketing services industry (Momentum and Octagon CEO searches plus WPP Group’s Kantar unit), President for Levi Strauss & Company, E-Commerce (WebMD General Manager) & Internet Advertising Bureau CEO.

Joe is nationally recognized for resolving the most sensitive, critical and confidential client situations. Accordingly, his practices, as developed over the last 25 years, can best be described as “at the value creation level” for publicly traded companies and for private equity concerns. Previously, Mr. Frohlinger was a Senior Partner at Norman Broadbent International, a leading global executive search and board of directors’ consultancy and Bialla & Associates. He has authored numerous articles on leadership and corporate governance.

Frohlinger served as Editor and Publisher of Frohlinger’s Marketing Report in the 1980s-through 1999. He has been an award-winning journalist, frequently quoted in business magazines and national media, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, Frohlinger is recognized for his advertising and marketing insights. His career in journalism started at United Press International as a sportswriter (his love of the New York Rangers has not diminished) and music writer/editor before turning serious. At one point, he had over 7,000 LPs but is a huge music aficionado (Allen Toussaint/Rolling Stones, The Band favs) and can often be seen at Jazzfest. Married with two children, Matthew and Jonathan.
